Labor Day Weekend!

So Friday morning our plans fell through and we had no idea how we were going to get to Utah for my family get-together on Saturday. We looked up rental cars, but they were too expensive, so we decided flying would be the easiest way! We bought two airline tickets that left California on Friday afternoon, and we arrived safely in Utah that night! What an adventure!

Our cabin is at Bear Lake and it is named Cullowhee because my uncle says Cullowhee is the most beautiful place he has ever seen. (It is a city in North Carolina)

We filled the boat with babies and went skiing first thing!

I had to take pictures of my nieces and nephews in their cute bathing suits!

Marshall's speedo was my favorite!

For dinner we had a yummy BBQ!

My favorite was the strawberry pie we had for Luke's birthday!

Happy Birthday Luke!

Then we headed down to the beach to roast some mallows over the awesome fire Taylor and Dave started!

Josh entertained us with some tunes.

Then we whipped out the sparklers and fireworks!

My brothers got the big ones in Evanston, Wyoming that aren't even legal in Utah. (Luckily we were on the Idaho side.)
It was quite the show!

Taylor and I took "Pheobe" to church on Sunday.
All of my cousins helped Grandy to paint this VW Bug, and boy does it turn heads!

Sunday evening a storm a crazy storm rolled in across the lake. We all went out on the porch to have a look!

On the way back to Utah we had to stop at Merlin's to get famous Bear Lake rasberry shakes!

My Last Week!

I was sad and excited to finish up my internship for the summer.
I learned to love the girls I worked with, but they also stressed me out more than a few times!
We did some really fun activities for my final week so here are some pictues.
Part of me is really going to miss it!

Da Vinci was quite the man! This was an interactive museum with a lot of Da Vinci's inventions and artwork.

We went to some other really neat museums then out to dinner!

It is hard to keep your eyes on the menu cause right next to you table there are hooligans doing this...

One afternoon we took the girls for a drive up the alpine loop!

Then we went camping up Payson Canyon
near this beautiful lake where we canoed and swam.

We made yummy tin foil dinners, dutch oven cobbler, and banana boats!

We also went to this cool little water park for a day!

After my adventures with the "hooligans" Taylor and I went to some Hot Pots in Midway then to this sweet ice cream place with some friends.

You choose flavors and mix-in thay they put into a bowl of milk and cream...

Then they add liquid nitrogen to the mix....

and the cream freezes right in front of your eyes, and the nitrogen evaporates off!
creating a delicious treat!

I am probably going to miss the vast selection of ice cream shops there are here in Provo!

Then my family got together for a day at seven peaks

We had sooo much fun going on on the slides and playing with my family!

My grandparents and some siblings came down and we had a sunday diinner bash!

Now that I am all done I can't wait to move to California!!!

Part 1

So almost a year ago I went on a really really fun trip with my parents, grandparents, and cousins. It was a Baltic Cruise and we visited Amsterdam, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Klaipeda, and Scottland. I just got all the pictures and I want to share this way fun experience!
We started our journey in Amsterdam - and there is a slide for each portion of the trip so enjoy!

Amsterdam

After a long long plane ride we had our adventures in Amsterdam! The pictures are of the boat tour we took through the canal, our walk though the flower district, and visit to the Anne Frank House. Then we boarded the ship & had adventures at sea!

On the ship

Funny Story: The all-you-can-eat ice cream was my favorite! so on the last day we brought a bowl-shaped plate to the ice cream man and told him to create a mountain of ice cream! Oh it was a heavenly sight! We smothered our mountain in fudge and carmel then dstroyed it! Yes we ate every last drop of it and it was DELICIOUS!
Then we stopped in Denmark.

Copenhagen, Denmark

These pictures are of the city streets, the awesome castles, and churches. It was reallly neat because we have a lot of ansestry from Denmark and we learned neat things about our heritage!

A Play!

My awesome friend Jennie and her husband Eric
invited Taylor and I to see the play A Midsummer Night's Dream
at the outdcoor theatre at sundance.

We had the best grassy seats!

... and the air was nice and cool being up in the mountains as we were.
It was pretty refreshing!
