Camping!

So Taylor and I LOVE camping!
We live next to so many beautiful places and I think it would be a shame not to take advantage of what we can! This last weekend we found this awesome camp site behind squaw peak mountain and my also newly married friends Jackie & Kyle and Jennie & Eric joined us in our adventure! We all made tin foil dinners and then topped them off with some delicious s'mores. Then it started to rain pretty ferociously during the night, but Taylor and I slept through it all and when we woke up my friends had packed up and left! We all had fun before the rain so it was ok!

The sweet view from our camp site!

Of course Taylor did all the cooking! He is just so good with fire!

If you can't tell... we are all doing extremely difficult kung-fu moves
on the edge of the mountain!

The view at night was almost better!

When we woke up we were in a cloud!

Yahoo! we found it!

We found the camera and here are some pictures from our six flags adventure...
We went through supermans ice cave to go on the superman ride where we watched our pennies float in the air in front of us!

Then we walked through the misty jungle to the goliath ride. I think that was my favorite!

We had to stop and get one of those giant turkey legs for lunch!

words...

So, I am pretty sure we left our camera in California and that is why we don't have any pictures.:( I will just tell you about our adventures from this week. I started my internship working with girls ages 12 - 18 with a variety of mental illnesses. My first week has been a blast ! We played Frisbee golf one day then arts and crafts another, we went to the library and read books, then we went to the aviary and spent the day going to bird shows and lunch! Isn't rec therapy the best! And after this I will be a lisenced recreator! Taylor has been working hard so this weekend we went camping in Midway with my parents ,sister, and brother along with their families. We had a fire and made pigs in a blanket and some yummy cherry turnover things and smores. Taylor and I slept in the back of my dads truck and it was a delux bed! We had so many foams pads, and my favorite was the memory foam! We camped right close to the hot springs so we biked to them and got in - well they were super hot so i only put my feet in! I wish we had pictures, but I guess you can all just use your imagination!

California!

So we had an amazingly fun week in California and since we did a lot of it with Mike, Amber, Brooke, Tami, and kids you will have to refer to their blogs to see most of the pictures. The only things we did by ourselves was camping at Joshua Tree and a day at Six Flags - magic mountain. We can't find our camera at the moment so 6-flags pic will have to wait!

Joshua Trees are the coolest! and they were everywhere!

We had a sweet camp site too!

Isn't the desert beautiful!

Yahoo! We are done!

Friday Taylor and I walked at graduation together! It was so fun that we got to go together! It was a pretty long and boring ceremony, but i made taylor do it with me because I missed my high school graduation and Kathy came all the way from California to be ehre for it! So we just passed the time by playing some cards and blowing on each others tassels!

Kalai

Kalai is kind of a local musician, but he is so good! So Saturday night Taylor wanted to take me out but he wouldn't tell me where we were going. After dinner we went to the Covey Center where they have plays and stuff. So I thought we were going to a play. Taylor went to pick up his tickets and told me to wait in line to get in. So I went up and asked a couple if this was the line to get into the play. They looked at me kind of weirdly and nodded. So, when we walked in the stage had drums and guitars set up, and I just started laughing cause i realized this was not a play! It was a Kalai concert! It was so fun and he was telling funny jokes all night, and he is a really good guy - no swearing or crude comments or anything! If you want to hear one of his songs look on our playlist. He's also on our wedding video!

This is what I do...

I do laundry and I look at this thing-a-magigger, and use it, while i think, and think, and think to myself - and today I thought of a poem!

Thoughts
I think thoughts every day,
They are what directs my way.
They make me happy or sad,
They can be good or bad.
If I think a man is scum,
and I treat him like he's a bumb,
That is what he will surely become!
But if I happen to change my mind,
and think him, a different kind,
Then maybe he will be,
the one I really want to see!
So, think thoughts that are good,
and things will be the way they should!

A Day Off

Today was Taylors day off so we decided to head up to Diamond Fork ( in Spanish Fork Canyon) It took some convincing, but Taylor talked me into riding on the back of the motorcycle up that speedy winding road. At the top of Diamond Fork we started a hike that took us to some awesome natural hot springs. The trail still had snow on it, but today was such a warm day that we both got sunburned from being in the sun after a long long LONG cold winter.

just so ya know that sign that I am pointing to proved to be very true!

That waterfall was cold cold and i stuck my head under it! That's Taylor in the Hot Spring, by the way!

A New Baby!

Today my sister Mandee had a baby boy - 7 lbs 6 oz. and soo cute. Seeing that precious new baby (Paul) makes me think of what amiracle life really is!
Mandee had a c-section so dave dressed into scrubs and they headed into the operating room. It was amazing that only 20 minutes later Paul took his first breath!

This video is so cute! Nate loves his new brother!

Then, My brother took us jeepin' over the most heinous things!

Yes, we went straight up that wall in front of us! Pretty much insane huh!

Taylor was laughing the whole time while my stomach was doing somersaults!
Then we went on some cool hikes...

This 5 min hike was the coolest!

Then we did some rock climbing and this is my brother climbing up practically nothing!

I love my major!

So, first of all - I am not pregnant! I didn't even know about Taylor's scheme unitl I got home from class, but I have to admit it was worth it just reading all your comments! Haha! And I got some phone calls from shocked friends... it was hillarious!

Now that that is settled... My major is Therapeutic Recreation and I finish classes in only 10 days! It is the coolest major at BYU! Yesterday in class we learned a new activity in facilitation techniques - and after we learn about it we try it! So, we did slacklining and I found some cool videos about it so check it out cause it is so neat!

Here is my class doing it - We just did it a few feet above the ground.

A little announcement...

Hey there kids. It's Taylor again. So I have a little announcement. I would have liked to wait again and have people discover it on their own, like the whole engagement thing, but as we are currently residing in another state, so I decided to post it on here and see who the true and faithful are. So Aubree and I have been suspicious for a little bit, but we finally had it confirmed. We are in fact expecting. Madness. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm shocked and overwhelmed and excited all at the same time. Aubree is more so. I'll let you all know as matters progress.
