A week of visitors!

This last week my brother, Luke, and his wife & daughter came to visit! So since the weather was unusually warm we spent the day swimming & BBQ-ing!

Then, we spent the next day at Sea World!

We snapped this shot while we were waiting for Katelyn to go on a sesame street ride & seconds after we got a shower of bird poop! yuck!

After visiting with my brother my good friend Carrie and her man Grant came to see us! We showed them our favorite beach, Crescent Bay, and it turned out to be the perfect day for beachn'

So our Totally Awesome Roadtrip started at Pismo beach. We walked out on the peir & admired the beautiful beaches! We don't have pictures of it, but we camped the first night at Avila Hotsprings where Taylor soaked in the hot springs hot tub & I swam in the pool!

Then we headed up the coast on
Highway 1 making stops to see the seals& other cool things!

The second night we camped at an awesome campground that was right on the green cliffs overlooking the ocean! We hicked down to the rocky beach & I think this is where Taylor got poison oak!

The next day we kept going north & did the 17 mile drive. The big rock behind me is covered with seals that are making allsorts of crazy noise!

Then we headed up to a redwood campgroud for the night & we felt so ity bity next to those giant trees!

San Fransisco

We ventured through the city driving down the Crooked road, checking out Fisheman's Warf, & getting sundaes at Ghiradelli's Square!

Next we went to the mountains to spend the night in Yosemite & it was a cold one! That morning Taylor discovered the poison oak so we had to cut things short so we could get home before it got too bad :( We still got to explore the beautiful park though!

So we headed home & we drove past tons of Orange Groves that smell absolutely Divine right now! We had to stop ourself from sniffing cause we cept getting dizzy!

Baby update

So we went to the doctor again the other day to get Aubree's 10-week ultrasound.  Aub had been having some signs of trouble with the pregnancy, so it was with a little bit of nervous anticipation that we went forth.  The first image on the ultrasound screen was an extremely active little fetus, complete with rudimentary limbs and everything.  It was amazing to see how much it had grown and developed in such a short time.  Then they moved the device around to try to get a look at the other baby, but things were not so good.  The other fetus had stopped developing at about the 8 week stage, and there was no visible heartbeat.  It was a difficult mix of relief and happiness for the one, and loss for the other.  Our good doctor gave us some words of comfort, and empathized with us.  He said that he and his wife were having twins on their first go-round.  He was so excited that he told everyone, but then she lost one, and it was extrememly difficult for the two of them.  He told us that one is the ideal situation though.  We're supposed to come one at a time.  The potential for complications is dramatically reduced.  So while it's really sad and everything, it's probably for the best.  And we're both really happy with how well everything else has been going with the other.  Now if we could only come up with some names we agree on...
Going Swimming!
I am so excited that the weather is finally warm enough to go swimming!
Brooke & Tami's kids came over the other day for some pool fun!
Andrew would not let go of Taylor, I think something in the water scared him!

He had a lot more fun jumping on the tramp!

Even though it's been super warm lately the water in the pool is still pretty chilly & Kira just jumped right in! my favorite part is that she's wearing my old racing swim suit! You can only imagine how tight it was on me!

Honey!

So we saw this sticky gooey puddle on our dresser & we were trying to figure out what it was? Then Taylor looked up and saw drops of the same stuff on the ceiling vent! Last year they had a problem with bees up in the attic so when the exterminator came over he took the vent off to find a whole bunch of honey & dead bees! If we had only known! we could have filled a jar of our own fresh honey - staight form the ceiling vent!
